Most outdoor pizza ovens have one burner behind the stone. That is why the bottom scorches while the top stays pale, and why you have to stand over the oven turning the pizza every twenty seconds. The Festa Oven solves both problems with hardware instead of technique: a 16-inch cordierite stone that rotates automatically, and two burners you control independently — a crescent-shaped top burner and a separate bottom burner.
Because the top burner can be turned down or off, one oven handles pizza styles that normally need different equipment. Neapolitan in 60 to 90 seconds. Large New York-style in 3 to 4 minutes. Detroit-style pan pizza with a caramelized frico edge and a crumb that is actually cooked through — which almost no residential outdoor oven can do.

Against a single-burner outdoor oven such as the Ooni Koda 16 or Solo Stove Pi Prime, the trade is straightforward. Those ovens put all of their heat into one flame and are the right pick if you only ever bake 12-inch Neapolitan and enjoy managing the bake by hand. The Festa Oven puts a comparable amount of heat behind two burners you can dial separately, and rotates the stone for you. If you mostly make large New York-style pies, cook for a group, or have ever pulled a pizza with a black bottom and raw cheese, that difference is the whole decision.
Is it hard to use? No. The rotating stone and independently controlled burners are specifically there so a beginner gets a repeatable result without learning to turn a pizza mid-bake. Mid-bake adjustments that are nearly impossible on a single-burner oven are a dial turn here.
Can I use it indoors? No. This is a gas appliance rated for outdoor use only — patios, decks and backyards. Never operate it indoors, in a garage or in any enclosed space.
What dough should I use? If you are starting out, buy pre-made dough from a local shop and focus on the bake — our Pizza Dough Directory helps you find it. When you want to make your own, the free Festa Dough Calculator runs baker's math across six styles, with step-by-step guides for Neapolitan, New York and Detroit.
What else should I get? An infrared temperature gun, so you can read stone temperature separately from air temperature, and a Detroit-style pan — the ability to shut off the top burner makes this oven unusually good at pan pizza.
